Going deeper

Less new. More understood.

You've practised for a while. You can hold the postures. What you're looking for now isn't another sequence — it's the why beneath the what. Why this breath, in this shape, for this length of time. We work with longer holds, fewer postures, and the philosophy that grew the practice in the first place.

What to expect

— 01

Fewer postures, longer holds

A class might explore four shapes thoroughly instead of twenty briefly.

— 02

Pranayama at the centre

Breath is not a warm-up. It becomes the primary practice over time.

— 03

Texts read slowly

Monthly reading sessions. Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Yoga Sutras, in small pieces.

For teachers already teaching

Growth is going deeper into what you already know.

These workshops aren't about collecting new techniques. They're for teachers who want to refine — to look again at the things they think they already understand. We run them rarely and keep them small.

I was lucky enough to attend the 5 day Advanced Backbend Workshop led by Yashwanth. I learnt an immense amount in a short period of time, and now feel much more confident in incorporating backbends in my practice. Yashwanth has a very calm but constructive teaching method, and a wealth of knowledge which I have benefited from.

Sit with a teacher first.

Before joining the deeper practice group, we talk. Twenty minutes to understand where you are and what you're actually asking for.
